Eyelash extension tweezers: a buyer's guide to tip shapes and finishes

Lash artists judge a brand by its tweezers. A pair that closes cleanly and picks up a single lash every time gets reordered; a pair that crosses at the tip does not. If you supply lash studios or are building a private label lash range, these are the points that matter.

Isolation tweezers and placement tweezers

Most artists work with two tweezers at once. One isolates a single natural lash, and the other picks up and places the extension.

A lash range normally includes at least one straight and one curved or angled model, so an artist can buy a matching pair from the same brand.

Tip alignment and grip

For lash work, the tips must meet evenly at the very end and hold a single fine hair without slipping. Small differences in alignment are hard to see in a photo, which is why samples matter more for lash tweezers than for almost any other beauty tool.

When you test samples, close the tweezers gently and hold them up to the light: the tips should touch along their final edge with no gap and no crossing. Then try picking up a single fine hair several times.

Finishes and colours

Plain stainless steel is the standard finish. Titanium-coated and coloured tweezers help a brand stand out on a supplier's shelf, and different colours help artists tell their isolation and placement tweezers apart at a glance. Finish can be matched to your packaging and the rest of your range.
